Barbecue Pulled Chicken

One of the best slow cooker recipes of all time. The results are a sumptuous pulled chicken barbecue for sandwiches or tacos.

Serves: 6-8
3 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
1 medium onion chopped
½ cup water, chicken broth or dry white wine

6 chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
Salt and pepper to taste
Two 28 oz. bottles of your favorite barbecue sauce or taco sauce.

Put the chopped onion on the bottom of slow cooker bowl. Next layer the chicken breasts and thighs and add the liquid. Then salt and pepper to taste. Cover and cook on low heat for 7 to 9 hours. Pull the chicken into pieces using fork. Pour the sauce over the chicken and mix well. Serve on a toasted bun.
