A delightful change from the standard biscuit. A light fluffy roll with a slight sweet taste.
Beer rolls have always been special to me. My MawMaw knew how much I enjoyed them and would always make them when I came to spend the night. Later she passed her recipe on to me. So now I make the rolls for myself.
I don’t keep bisquick mix in my pantry. So I make my own mix when I make this recipe. You only need to mix 2 cups of all purpose flour, 1 tbsp. baking powder, and 1 tsp. of salt. Then using your food processor add 1/3 cup of butter or shortening and combine the dry ingredients with the butter or shortening. You now have 2 cups of mix similar to bisquick.
