A simple Italian salad that is a classic. Quality extra-virgin olive oil, fresh buffalo mozzarella cheese, cherry tomatoes, and fresh basil create a flavor-packed salad.
Servings: 4
One 8 oz. ball of buffalo mozzarella cheese, sliced
3 medium size ripe tomatoes, sliced thick
½ cup packed basil leaves
1 ½ tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
Kosher Salt and black pepper
Place the tomato slices alternating with the cheese slices in a shallow serving bowl or lipped serving plate. Scatter the basil over top and then drizzle all with the olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with slices of toasted baguette for dipping.
