You must try these easy crispy buffalo wings that are so tender and moist. The air fryer is the perfect cookware for this recipe.
To make crispy buffalo wings, we’ll start by patting the chicken wings dry. Take a ziplock bag and add the seasonings salt, cumin, coriander, cajun seasoning, and garlic powder. Then add the cornstarch. Mix these well and then add the wings. Toss the wings around in the bag until they are thoroughly coated.
Once the wings are coated, we’ll place them on a rack in the refrigerator overnight. The next day spray the bottom of your crisper tray and place one layer of wings in the tray.
Lightly spray the wings with oil. Then air fry them on 390F for about 20 minutes, or until they’re cooked through. Be sure and stir them with your silicone tipped tongs at least once during cooking.
Once the wings are cooked, we’ll toss them in a buffalo sauce made with hot sauce, butter, and vinegar. The hot sauce will give the wings their signature flavor, while the butter and vinegar will help to balance out the heat. I like to serve mine with Blue Cheese or Ranch Dressing.
Here are a few tips for using an air fryer:
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. If you put too much food in the basket, it won’t cook evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer before cooking. This will help to ensure that your food cooks evenly.
- Shake or toss the food halfway through cooking. This will help to prevent the food from sticking to the basket.
- Let the food cool for a few minutes before serving. This will help to prevent the food from becoming soggy.
Recipe
Crispy Buffalo Wings In The Air Fryer
2 pounds chicken wings
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoon garlic powder –
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon coriander
1 teaspoon cardamom
1/4 cup corn starch
Olive Oil Spray
Preheat your air fryer to 390F for about five minutes. In a ziplock bag, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, cumin, coriander, cardamom, and corn starch. Pat dry the chicken wings with paper towels to remove any moisture. Toss the chicken wings in the seasoning mixture until they are evenly coated. Next lay the wings on a rack in the refrigerator overnight.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or oil to prevent sticking. Place half of the seasoned chicken wings in a single layer inside the air fryer basket without overcrowding them. Cook in batches if necessary. Air fry at 390F for about 12 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.
Once cooked through and crispy on both sides, transfer the cooked wings into a large mixing bowl using tongs or a slotted spoon. Pour the buffalo sauce over the cooked wings and toss them gently until they are fully coated in the sauce. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces, celery sticks, and carrot sticks on the side. You can also serve blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping if desired. Enjoy your delicious homemade buffalo wings straight from the air fryer!
