This easy roasted cauliflower steak is flavor packed and healthy.  Even those that do not care for cauliflower will like this version.

Roasted cauliflower is so easy to make. This easy roasted cauliflower steak is also very healthy. Cauliflower is naturally high in fiber and B vitamins. It can protect against cancer with its antioxidants and phytonutrients. The fiber of cauliflower causes weight loss, is helpful with digestion and the choline it contains helps with memory. How can you go wrong with all of these health benefits and it is delicious fixed this way.

To prepare my cauliflower, I first remove all of the leaves. Next I slice off the stalk at the bottom.

Proceed by cutting the head of the cauliflower down the middle. Then cut the 1 inch thick steaks from each half from the inside. Save the flowerets that break off to also roast.

Oil each side of the steak and the flowerets that have broken apart.

Put the cauliflower steaks and flowerets on a baking sheet and season with paprika, oregano, salt and pepper.

Bake in a 425 degree oven for 15 minutes. Remove the cauliflower from the oven and turn. Return the pan to the oven and roast for an additional 15 minutes. Remove the cauliflower from the oven and serve while hot.

Easy Roasted Cauliflower Steak

Servings: 4
1 large head of cauliflower
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. paprika
¼ tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Move the oven rack to the top 3rd of the oven. Rinse the cauliflower; remove the leaves and end of stalk. With large knife, slice through the head of cauliflower in the middle. Then slice again 1 inch over, making a steak 1 inch thick. Continue to slice the cauliflower until you reach the outer edges. Use the flowerets that crumble, by putting in a bowl with olive oil and spices. Brush or spray the steaks on both sides with olive oil. Place on baking sheet. Sprinkle steaks with spices. Place the extra flowerets on the baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, flip and bake another 15 minutes.
