Grilled Miso Steak On Skewers


This grilled miso steak is delicious. The recipe can also be made using chicken or pork.

3 tbsp. olive oil

3 cloves of garlic thinly sliced
3 tbsp. soy sauce

2 tbsp. miso paste
1 tsp. Sesame oil

Pinch of salt
10 oz. New York Strip Steak boneless sliced length wise ¼ inch thick

Soak your skewers in water for 2 or more hours. In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil and add the garlic. Over low heat, cook stirring for 3 minutes. Remove the garlic and put into blender with soy sauce, miso, sesame oil and salt. Blend this mixture until puree. (Save the oil from cooking the garlic for another use.) Thread the steak strips on to the skewers. Lightly brush the meat with some of the miso glaze. Grill over high heat for 1 minute. Brush with miso glaze again, turning and grilling until charred, about 2 minutes.
