Open-Face Hamburgers

These open-face hamburgers are so scrumptious and easy to make.  I started making these when I was 10 years old.  All the family members will enjoy this sandwich.

These open-face hamburgers are so easy and fast to make.  I started making these for my family when I was 10 years old.  Adults and children will enjoy these tasty burgers. 

Start by mixing your meat, onion, garlic, salt and pepper.

You will want to toast the bread on one side.  I like to use large slices of sour dough bread.

Spread your mixture on the untoasted side of the bread.  It is important to cover the edges of the bread or it will burn.  I form ledges with the meat mixture to accommodate the shrinking of the meat.

Broil the hamburgers for 6 to 10 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.  Serve the open-face hamburgers with mustard.

Open-Face Hamburgers-You Are Going To Love These

Servings: 3 to 4
1 lb. ground beef
½ cup onions, chopped finely
1 clove garlic, chopped finely
½ tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
4 slices of bread

In a medium sized bowl, mix the ground beef, onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Toast one side of the bread. Spread the meat mixture on the untoasted side of the bread. Be sure to cover the edges well. Broil for 6 to 10 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
