This tuna recipe is so healthy and so easy to prepare. Tuna is an excellent source of vitamin B12 which helps form new red blood cells and prevents the development of anemia. The high level of omega-3 fatty acids has been shown to reduce the rate of cardiovascular disease. Omega-3 also has a positive effect on the health of the eye and the retina. Omega-3 fatty acids are believed to reduce inflammation and slow the growth of tumor cells.

Ahi Tuna Steak only takes a total of 4 to 5 minutes to prepare. It is so easy that a beginner is certain to have a successful, tasty meal. The most important thing to watch for in cooking the tuna is not to overcook the steak. Remember the tuna will continue to cook after it is removed from the heat.

So even if you do not like rare meat, leave some rareness in the tuna to prevent dryness. It will complete cooking for a minute or two after it is removed from the heat and will not be rare when you are ready to eat. Add brown rice and steamed broccoli for a complete meal.
