This is a super moist banana nut bread made from scratch. It is easy and the moist bread is a true comfort food.
This super moist banana nut bread is going to become your favorite. I usually don’t take on baking. However, I do make excellent banana nut bread that I want to share with you.
Start with preheating your oven to 350 degrees. Using butter coat a 9” x 5” x 3” loaf pan. Take a medium bowl and combine the first six ingredients by whisking. Set these aside. Next using a large bowl, mix the melted butter and the two sugars. Mix for one minute or until smooth. Then add the eggs into the large bowl and mix for an additional minute. Now add the bananas and milk to the large bowl and mix until smooth. Next slowly mix in the dry ingredients from the other bowl. When the mixture is smooth and creamy stir in the nuts. Now pour the batter into the loaf pan. Pat the bottom of the loaf pan to remove any air bubbles that may have formed. Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven onto the middle shelf. Bake the bread for one hour and 15 minutes. Test the bread for doneness by sticking a toothpick into the middle of the bread. If it comes out clean, the bread is done. Cool the bread on a wire rack before slicing. Enjoy!

Super Moist Banana Nut Bread
2 cups flour
¾ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cardamom
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ cup butter, melted
¼ cup sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
2 eggs
¼ cup half and half
1 ½ cups very ripe bananas, 4 medium bananas
1 cup walnuts, chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9” x 5”x 3” loaf pan. Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, cardamom, and cinnamon in a medium bowl and set aside. In a large bowl mix melted butter and sugars for one minute. Add eggs and mix for another minute. Add bananas and milk and continue to mix. Now slowly add dry ingredients until thoroughly mixed. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into the loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
